Dedicated Backup Environment

Providing a dedicated backup environment is the core of our services offering. Your organization will receive dedicated MIPS and dedicated storage that will provide a duplicate of your critical Mainframe operating system LPAR (s) in our alternate location.

The dedicated Mainframe environment is yours to access 24x7x365 days. This provides you with the following benefits:

Guaranteed Access

Access to your backup environment at our facility is guaranteed.  Because your environment is guaranteed, there are no restrictions on when you can perform your testing. For example, this means no chance of being 'bounced' to another facility (if available with a subscription type service), possibly requiring air travel when air travel may not be available during an actual disaster occurrence.

By virtue of the dedicated environment we are providing your company test time that can be scheduled at your convenience and at the convenience of your staff, both IT staff and end user staff. This also creates an environment of knowledge exchange between our staff and yours.

The site can also act as a testing environment for your company thus providing a 'sandbox' to test changes, and enhancements eliminating the need to add test capacity within your data center.

It will be our goal to upgrade and fine tune your disaster plan as we introduce new technology that may prove to be helpful, not only at our location, but within your Corporate Mainframe environment. The backup site could also be used for testing and staging for internal initiatives - adding and extending internal options to consider in future internal projects.

No notification fees when an event at your location is declared

If an event is declared, your Mainframe is "hot" providing your company with immediate access to pre staged computing resources, with unlimited use of the backup site.

Our support team will assist your company in all aspects of your implementation and support your operations.

You will receive all of the support required during testing and throughout the course of any disaster event (24 x 7 x 365).

Additional Shared MIPS

n addition we will match your dedicated MIPS with an equal amount of shared MIPS if available. These MIPS are provided as part of your solution at no additional cost. Our shared MIPS environment is provided on a limited plan based on geographic location and additional factors as power grids industry and normal risk factors.
